Roy Hall is one of the most fascinating personalities in the audio world. This American has been involved in distributing audio equipment to the U.S. for many years. The catalog of his distribution company includes many leading global brands. However, sales alone were not enough to satisfy his curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit. His knowledge of the affordable audio systems market prompted him to seek something that would offer higher sound quality for a similar price or the same sound quality for significantly less money.

Founded in 1985, Music Hall LLC entered a new stage of its operations in 1998, thanks to its own devices. That year, Roy signed a contract with a factory in the Czech Republic to produce turntables. The same factory also manufactures turntables for Pro-Ject. However, for Hall, entirely different models are produced, co-designed by him and personally tested. This results in products with a distinct sound and appearance, stemming directly from different design principles.
