High End CD players have built a reputation of Ancient Audio company .
Regardless of whether midprice or top class units, Lektor CD players brought joy to the eyes, joy to the ears.

Like Lektor Joy, the Lektor Step uses the Austrian-made CD-Pro8 mechanism, with its own control software.

The device is a CD player, DAC converter (S/P DIF, USB inputs), preamplifier, and Digital Speaker Processor (optional), all in one unit.

The A/C processing is again handled by the 32-bit ES 9038 Pro chip, this time in stereo mode. The volume control is digital, with a range of 99 dB.

The preamplifier’s analog stage also comes from the flagship model, featuring V-Cap OIMP capacitors at the output.

The entire system is powered by a single toroidal transformer.

The biggest difference from the previous model is the housing. Made as a sandwich of aluminum and classic black glass, it is more futuristic. The starting point for the new design is the original form derived from ergonomics.
