The second edition of the S-10 streamer introduced in 2016 features a modular design, allowing even the basic XS version to play music via wired or wireless network, from computer files or an external hard drive, encoded up to 764 kHz / 32 bit and DSD 256, and compatible with platforms such as Tidal, HiResAudio, Qobuz, and Roon, as well as with the Audirvana application. The device has a high-class analog preamplifier with a quadruple volume control system, a dual mono DAC, a fully balanced output stage implemented with a Single Ended triode, and a control app for iOS and Android systems.
The Server version comes with a factory-installed 1 TB SSD hard drive and the JRiver BlackBox Server software, dedicated to the most faithful processing of high-resolution files. This application was chosen based on numerous tests and listening trials, which proved its superiority in handling the spatial aspects of music encoded in dense formats.
The S-10 Mk II can also be ordered in the Signature version, supplemented with a module that converts all PCM signals to DSD 256.
For owners of the older S-10 edition, the manufacturer offers an upgrade to the Mk II version, with the option to choose any of the above configurations
