The SSD benefits from an additional self-sufficient module, supported by a new platform implemented in the Mk II version. There’s also good news for owners of the previous S-10 version: Ayon Audio offers an upgrade option to the latest version at its service center, and the modular design of the device allows for the installation of an SSD.
The other user and technical features remain the same for other configurations in the S-10 Mk II series. It plays music via wired or wireless network, as well as files from a computer or external hard drive. The second-generation S-10 processes signals up to 764 kHz / 32-bit and DSD 256 and is compatible with platforms such as Tidal, HiResAudio, Qobuz, and Roon, as well as with the Audirvana app. It features a high-quality analog preamplifier with quad-volume control, a dual mono DAC, and a fully balanced output stage using a Single-Ended triode in pure Class A. A control app is available for iOS and Android. The S-10 Mk II is also available in a Signature version, which includes the latest algorithm for converting all PCM signals to DSD 256.
