Excellent clarity, powerful bass
The Opal 23 delivers saturated sound with above-average midrange clarity. The low end is well-controlled, which gives tracks compactness and speed, but it can still unleash power on recordings that demand it. The stage is suggestive, and speakers provide excellent readability and insight into recordings without becoming overly technical. The set is also a perfect companion for a home recording studio as its symmetric driver layout allows comfortable listening from a short distance.
Three drivers for outstanding results
The Opal 23 features a two-way design based on a pair of our PSW 18.8 CS cellulose woofers, characterized by excellent measurable parameters. Their paper diaphragms, additionally coated, deliver selective sound with a warm midrange. The treble is handled by a 25 mm silk dome tweeter, allowing closer acoustic centers due to its compact size. The drivers are housed in an 18 mm body, including the back of the cabinet, with a thicker 22 mm front plate to reduce front wall vibration. For maximum structural stiffness, reinforcements have been added at crucial points.
The columns are dedicated for use in rooms with a floor area from 20 to 40 m2.
