Introducing the ARNO series—a pivotal step in Rosso Fiorentino’s ongoing pursuit of excellence in sound reproduction. Named after the river that flows through the heart of Florence, this new line represents a significant milestone in the brand’s evolution as a loudspeaker manufacturer.

For the first time, Rosso Fiorentino presents a comprehensive range that seamlessly combines the exacting standards of High-End audio with the versatility required for multi-channel systems. The ARNO loudspeakers offer an immersive listening experience, grounded in advanced engineering and meticulous sound refinement down to the smallest detail.

The Arno20 delivers an authentic, uncolored listening experience, faithfully preserving the sonic intent of the artist and sound engineers.

This performance is achieved through a custom 6.5” woofer developed in collaboration with a renowned Italian manufacturer. It features a treated paper diaphragm composed of a silky outer layer and a stiffer inner core, ensuring a fast and natural midrange response. A powerful ferrite magnet, large voice coil, and over-damped reflex system work in unison to produce deep, articulate bass. The tweeter—derived from Rosso Fiorentino’s flagship Siena model—delivers remarkable clarity and consistent performance across a broad listening area.

The multi-layered cabinet structure reduces unwanted resonances, combining outstanding acoustic performance with Italian craftsmanship. Premium crossover components bring out every subtle detail with precision and musicality.

To ensure a truly authentic sound, the design philosophy insists that the only source of sound should be the drivers—not the cabinet. Vibrations in cabinet panels introduce distortion and must be minimized. Rosso Fiorentino’s constrained layer damping, used throughout the ARNO series, reduces internal resonances by pairing materials with complementary acoustic properties. This approach enhances structural rigidity, damping, and sonic clarity, delivering a purer sound, more defined soundstage, and improved bass response. Additional fibrous damping materials and internal air “cushions” help absorb residual cabinet resonances, further refining internal energy distribution.

Nearly every aspect of a Rosso Fiorentino loudspeaker is designed and developed in-house. However, in pursuit of the highest quality, the brand also collaborates with specialized Italian manufacturers—particularly in the development of proprietary drivers. This close partnership enables precise optimization of materials and manufacturing processes, resulting in a truly unique range of drivers crafted exclusively for the ARNO series.

The company’s design philosophy does not follow a fixed electroacoustic doctrine. Instead, the most effective solution is selected for each individual product. Rather than relying exclusively on specific crossover orders, Rosso Fiorentino emphasizes results—guided by a combination of academic electroacoustic expertise and extensive hands-on experience. For the Arno20, the crossover was engineered from the ground up, incorporating high-end components from internationally respected manufacturers, along with exclusive, in-house developed elements such as custom coils.

The filtering approach implemented in the Arno20 ensures a highly resistive and stable impedance profile while minimizing phase variation. This avoids problematic impedance and phase interactions that could stress the amplifier, allowing it to operate more efficiently and contributing to overall sonic excellence.

All mechanical components are designed and manufactured in Italy. These include aluminum vented ports, precision-machined spikes and counter-spikes, and front panels milled from 8mm aluminum sheets that house the drivers. Even the connectors are in-house designs, made from pure copper and plated in gold and palladium for long-lasting durability. An anodized aluminum bushing with a friction lock mechanism securely accommodates any type of cable.

S-A20 Stand

The Rosso Fiorentino S-A20 stand is designed to provide a robust and acoustically optimized base for the Arno20 bookshelf speakers. Its elegant matte black soft-touch finish complements the design language of Rosso Fiorentino’s latest models.

Key features include a front compartment filled with marble microgranules, which convert kinetic energy into heat, effectively dissipating vibrations and enhancing overall sound quality. A wide rear cable channel offers clean and practical cable management, while adjustable spikes allow for straightforward and secure installation. For additional stability and vibration control, the speaker can be screwed directly onto the top plate, ensuring a rigid mechanical connection.

Constructed from HDF with a refined soft-touch paint finish, the S-A20 stand combines technical performance with Italian design elegance. An embossed Rosso Fiorentino logo on the central leather band adds a distinctive visual accent. The S-A20 offers both functional excellence and sophisticated aesthetics to fully support and elevate the performance of the Arno20 loudspeakers.
